A.K Family Karate believes that it is always unacceptable for a child or young person to experience abuse of any kind and recognises it's responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people, by a commitment to practice which protects them.

At A.K Family Karate & Fitness, the welfare of all students is of paramount importance.All students regardless of age,disabilities,gender,racial heritage,religous belief,sexual orientation or identity have the right to legal protection from all types of harm and abuse.

The purpose of this policy is to provide protection for the students who receive A.K Family Karate services.
We will seek to safeguard students by valuing them, listening to and respecting them. Adopting child protection guidelines through procedures and a code of conduct. Recruiting staff and volunteers safely, ensuring all necessary checks are made.

Health and Safety
Before class starts the venue is risk assessed. The fire doors work correctly and that all students are reminded to tell the instructor if they have an injury.

First Aid
All instructors are fully First Aid trained

All instructors are DBS Checked.

Photo and video
There will be no photography or filming without the parents consent and parents will be present.
